This development of a new 100+ place long day care centre in the Cessnock CBD required a detailed analysis of parking demands associated with such facilities including consideration of the unique pick up and drop off patterns relating to the longer hours associated with such centres. The authority parking requirements for such centres vary considerably from Council to Council with the detailed analysis and supporting argument able to justify the suitability of the proposed design. Our assessment successfully argued for a lower parking provision compared with the Council code.
